| Great, so now there's a very real possibility that we could go in to the Fax game knowing that a loss offers more advantage than a win. Fev will finish 3rd or 4th whatever, so I'd expect Toulouse to be more motivated in their game. Which I assume is in France.
The superstitious part of me thinks that chucking a game would have karmic consequences and it hardly represents good preparation. On the other hand the idea of seeking to make our task in the 8s more difficult, basically having to self-inflict a wound is pretty horrible after every act of naivety was so mercilessly stomped on in 2016.

And already too late.
Any fool can see we're playing to a set play book, we cannot bring in anyone new that could ever change this.
What we need to do is be extremely boring. And play to the Sheens game plan.
I don't care how awful the rugby is (and it has been) we need to get out of this league.'"
with the coal train and masoe to come in they shouldn't have any issues fitting in. sheens should have brought a decent half back in some months ago though

| I could not believe the team was going through there final, preparation for the game, warm up call it what you will and they are introducing and interviewing the new scrum half asking him where and what does Tim Sheens want him to do when will he be making his debut and all that crap, what on earth would you be thinking if you were Jamie Ellis or one of the other halfbacks, no doubt the kid is a good player and has been brought in to strengthen the team but surely there is a time and place to asking him his thoughts, not before the game any opinions or is it me that's wrong?

| I do believe we are seeing a slight over reaction here. Let's take some factors in
1) - Mentality - that game meant absolutely nothing to us, and with one eye on middle 8's already complacency will set in.
2) - Team - Add in Carney, Minns, Heffernan, Clark, Atkin/Abdul, Greenwood and match fit Quinlan we are a different beast.
3) - Game - we were pretty comfortable in that game even playing shocking, it's not like we just got schooled and taught lessons. We ultimately switched off, they scored 3 tries from kicks where we weren't switched on enough and pulled the result. Fair play to them, had to go for it. If we play them in the middle 8's, we will put 20 past them minimum as they were pretty poor.
We have seen that we can raise our tempo as well, heard plenty of noise yesterday about other teams raising their game - what about us. We can comfortably play at higher intensity as shown a number of times throughout the season.
Some questions around half backs still definitely, and a plan B, but i know and the team knows we are going to be competitive.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

Jamie Ellis should be thinking I better pull my finger out for once at the end of the day Ellis is on loan this kid has signed for 2 years
