Playing outside Shenton in a team that is settled with a team of seasoned pro's is a lot to do with him playing well. Our club & Eden under Sandercock was put back years I blame him for a lot of problems Webster & Chester had. At least under Sheens we seem to be heading in the right direction whether it will be good enough is to bee seen.

With the right set up and right plays you don't need world beaters on the wing, someone with a bit of pace and an eye for the line will score a boat load. I'd reckon just about any winger in the league would be on 20+ in that team with the way they've been playing. To say Ryan Hall wouldn't have scored them is a bit silly, he'd probably have more.
Fair play to Greg, I like the kid and glad its going well for him but stick him in most other teams and he'd be run of the mill with flashes of brilliance.

He has Gale moving the ball to his side and a class centre in Shenton who provides him mostly walk in tries.
Put any of HKR young wings or Hull fc reserves like Naughton or Rawsthorne on the Castleford left wing and they would do what Eden does.

Credit where it's due, he's obviously ironed out the flaws in his game whilst he was down under, and obviously not a regular full back (although he played there last week when Powell rested Hardaker).

He is blessed with pace to burn and finishes well. Good luck to him, I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

He has scored some wonder tries that even the far less athletic Ryan Hall would have no chance with...the combination of Brisbane and Daryl Powell has unlocked all the potential everyone could see. The task for Powell is to get him to carry it on.

If the only criteria for MOS is scoring gimme's on the wing for cas then the award is worthless. It's supposed to be the best player who wins it and I fail to see how that could ever be a winger

Gale will obviously win it if Cas see it through...but the point is not that at all.

What i am saying is that most of Edens tries are walk ins created by Gale and Shenton.its just pass and catch.Put any young wing from most clubs and they would finish the tries just like Eden has.
Diving in the corner and grounding the ball whilst in the air is fairly standard in todays game.

Absolute bollox devaluing his achievements because he played for Rovers. He always had talent but suspect attitude. His Brisbane jaunt taught him a shed load and like many cast offs he's found a home at Cas .I keep reading on sharks board he's rocks or diamonds I expect diamonds on Sunday .Fully expect a humbling for the curlys in cup .shame Moors is out but expect a 20 point Cas win .....
