I was in minority on here when saying I don't think abdull is a good enough half for us.i still don't,but will hope to be proved wrong.we have to knock off a superleague team either over mini league or mpg. Ellis and Abdull whilst being good on paper at championship level don't look anywhere near strong enough versus SL pairings imo

I tend to agree with your scepticism of Abdul, against Leeds he looked very flat footed when Burrows ran at him.
I know he took a knock to the ribs early on, so maybe he was feeling that, but it will be interesting to see how he copes with someone with genuine pace.
We have 2 big half's and nether are very mobile, let's hope it's a case of horses for courses.

There's a few of us who have concerns about Abdul, Ive always had the view he will do a job for the 23 rounds but will be disappointed if we don't bring in a decent half, probably an Aussie, to partner Ellis in the middle 8s

After the last 4 months and the last game I witnessed from the East Stand and the abuse myself and my sons had to witness from Salford, I actually can't wait for the season to get started and condemn it all to history. After Sunday, The MPG will no longer be the last game I saw the boys play.

Neil and the board have done their best with off field matters. It's time for Patience, Power and Ruthlessness on the field (all three were lacking last season where we had impatience, softness and lack of interest for large amounts of time).
