Quote: Red harry "The fact remains he has played 200 NRL games, an average SL or Championship player wouldn't get a look in the NRL. He may have been out of favour, lost a bit of form like lots do, or Canberra wanted space on the cap to bring another player in. But a player who has achieved this level is worth bringing across and giving him a fresh start.
If playing 200 NRL games is not a good enough standard to play for Rovers, what level is and do you think we have a realistic chance of signing anyone at this level while the club remains rooted at the bottom end of SL?'"
To answer your question, yes we do, if the club actually get their recruitment right and put a bit of effort in. Not sending Smith across here on a jolly might help - FC sent Motu Tony (someone who actually has credibility!) and look how that turned out.
Tilse is not worth a quota spot or the amount he will be taking up in the cap, and whoever decided on a 2 and a half year deal is clearly a first class pillock
