Recently saw a report that he is playing rugby again for a local club back in Oz. I thought he had to give up playing altogether because of his knee problems ?
If his injuries were as bad as reported I would have thought the stresses put on his knee,s playing at any level would prove too much?

I doubt very much whether his body would stand up to the strain of full time playing and training...

There's a difference from been a full time pro to turning out for your local team a lot of pro footballers who have to retire due to injury often play on in the amateur game

You are a long time retired, and any way of playing the game, especially if it's for your own enjoyment rather than being paid to entertain others is better than sitting watching. Good luck to him!
