I attended the game yesterday, as I am sure many others did to see at least afew minutes game time from some of our new big name guys.Sadly I was dissapointed, what did we gain from yesterday? surely this ws the time to experiment with the movesand plays for the coming season, this is after all virtually a new team.
Halifax were aggressive in defense and attack, we were slow thinking short of aggression and ideas.

Brown showed his strength (literally) and highlighted that weakness in Dixon's game in the March 2013 game at the Stoop, so that shouldn't be a big surprise. Dixon isn't a powerful player, but hopefully makes up for that in other ways.

Thinking back to the game and our dual reg with Halifax, it would be interesting to think how many of our 'second string' players that played on Sunday would actually get into that Halifax team. not many I would wager.

Id take Welham, no one else stood out imo.

what about young Matty Marsh who the local press reckon was running the show until his injury?

If he starts playing like last year please take him but if he gets back to how he was no chance
