I would go with an u18's league and an A team league.
I think the bigger clubs need to forge closer links with the local amateur teams.
Possibly running under 15's and 16's in either a local or yorkshire league.

I can not agree that rugby league is a shambles it is just some clubs are skint and can not pay decent wages to decent player I know we have been their and got the tee shirt

2 weeks in & none of our lot have played for Fax yet. By way of comparison Hull have 5 playing for Doncaster today (not youngsters either, 1st teamers). Is that taking the **** or are we just not using this correctly?

If we're not going to send anyone to Fax when we don't have a game then what's the point of the link up?

Maybe fax don't want them? It seems to me that Hull are basically allowing doncaster to operate for less than they would if they had to pay all of their players themselves so it suits both sides. Myabe fax aren't in the same situation so are holding the upper hand and will only play players when they actually need some cover

And this is why getting rid of the 20's was such a cack idea, players such as marsh, esslemont and co will have no game time fitness and will be (and with no disrespect to them, because i like them) unprepared for a super league match, should they be called upon. They also have no chance to prove themselves and potentially push into the squad on merit. I said after the fax match that with their squad our lads would only get in due to injuries, and I still see that as being the case. I know small clubs can't support big squads and the idea of the 19's was to help that., but to me it is another case of the RFL shooting themselves in the foot
