Quote rebelrobin="rebelrobin"the thing that gets to me. is that i heard today that wigan offered a massive contract to travis. and he told kr he would sign a new deal if they bought him a new car and to help pay half his monthly mortgage so about 15k in total and kr have refused this.. so we would sooner lose one of our main play maker than offer him the deal he wants, before people jump at this it is what i heard that is all just saying'"
I said more or less the same thing in an earlier thread. A pal of mine who runs a small business and did some work for Travis Burns, told me a couple of weeks ago that Travis wanted a new car and some more money to stay at Rovers.
I don't now the amounts or anything or if its by way of paying towards his Mortgage, i do know though that he is already on a decent wedge.
I suppose it comes down to just what value a club puts on a player and whether it might upset the apple cart if the club start giving in to unreasonable demands from players .
