Sustained investment and building up an infrastructure is the way to go if you have sufficient funds. There's always a slim chance of things falling just right in the cup. But our chances (and those of the other clubs not regularly winning silverware) of breaking the glass ceiling and the hegemony of the teams that have dominated the SL era seem remote still. Just the way it is and there's plenty to enjoy in competing in SL even when you're not one of the teams competing for the title.
