Its a lot to digest and the what if this happens and that happens questions are bound to be plentiful but having looked at it at from a fans point of view there has to be a change from the current system. Weve hung around the 8th spot for the last couple of yrs only to be smashed in the first play off game apart from the derby victory which apart from maintaining our SL status is our biggest success to date. I think the comfort blanket of no relegation had to go and at first the reluctance to change is always an unwelcome idea when it could be your club relegated. This system could inject some much needed enthusiasm back into the club and the sport and who knows could push us on to bigger and better things. Whether this system works or will be tinkered with as it goes along only time will tell but things certainly needed to be changed.
If the proposed new points structure (3 for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for losing by 12 or less) had been in use this season, the league after 21 games (not counted this weeks as all teams haven't played) would look like this...
Still far from sure on the big idea (willing to give it a chance, glad we're shot of licensing which was right royally messed up) - I do think they've got the detail right at least. Aside maybe from the 3, 2, 1 points system. Though even then there'll be occasions where you're 16 points down with 5 minutes to and it adds a bit of excitement. Don't like how a 2 draws are worth more than a win.
