Have to agree with him being dropped, very poor kicking game and not injected himself into games enough! Frustrating as he has shown glimpses of class at times - but looked very ordinary to say the least , for the majority of games he has played.

If the rumours are to be believed and Josh does emigrate then I wouldnt hesitate to try him at hooker. Hes got good hands,excellent defender and would benefit from being more involved. Need to give him a bit more time rather than castigate the guy. That will do nothing for his confidence.

A few people have mentioned recently (in various places) that the SL and NRL are completely different animals. They could be right. Keating may be well respected in the NRL because he plays very well in their formulaic games, but his style simply doesn't suit SL. If Keating was a top class player, he would understand this and try to change his style to meet the competition that he chose to play in. The fact he hasn't does not necessarily make him a bad scrum half, just not a SL scrum half.

Ultimately the result is the same though, he needs to change his style or go.

Your post suggests that CC has been slow in showing backbone. He has only been in the job 3 weeks and gas disciplined two players. He was not in a position to show backbone in this way when Sandy was here.

Gassing players seems a bit harsh lol. Think what he meant was cc is showing backbone in the coaches role that has been lacking under previous encumbents.

I wonder what would happen if Saints asked to borrow Keating?
