Exactly. The stats against Cas were ridiculous, something like twenty odd sets in their half as opposed to Cas having about eight in ours.

Part of a coaches remit is to improve individuals, one of our major problems is our centres defensive reads and the patterns they've been coached to (I actually think it's wider than that and also involves our second rowers not sliding and people not covering for them when they've been invovlved in the tackle) Welham has gone backwards at an alarming rate. From being on the cusp of the England squad two years ago to probably not making the seventeen if everyone was fit is some slump. Salter hasn't looked the player he did last year either.
The team was always going to take time to gel, but it was Sandercock's decision to have such a large squad overhaul (personally I don't think you should bring in more than three or four new players each year) I'll give him a little more time, but a shellacking in The Derby and I think the axe will fall.
