| As we'd still have to pay Sandy I would guess that we'd just get on with the job in hand with Craig knowing that he won't be kept on after this year is out and we would start the process once again.
If however things do change I would look at James Webster being given a chance. A lot of work for whoever comes in to do but James has a lot of support from the Craven Park faithful and some glowing references from players he's both played alongside and coached. I would hope that his brother would come back on board as he too was seen as an even better coach but I believe he couldn't become a first team coach here until he's at least been an assistant coach in the NRL??

| In defence of our centre combos, I do sympathise a bit - given the fact at times I have little faith in our sliding/cover defence. It's worrying though, that this particular weakness is still being exposed going back to JM days. CS’ first policy was to spread our line, but we had so many weak links in it, it was just as bad. It’s fair to say he’s not found much of a plan b, yet.
Something what narked me from Friday, was just two little snippets from slack team defending. Bowen’s try … Burns puts up a speculative bomb, ends up on his backside from kick pressure. Bowen takes the ball, plenty of blue shirts in and around him. Not one of them was directly interested in the ball or Bowen and he gets away. Burns still on his backside, gets up too late and is easily outpaced. The other was the second Thornley try I believe. Think it was Costigan who was the guilty player. He was slow to fill in, and even when the danger was obvious he still never reacted. I think it was the ref cam that showed it clearly. I’d love to see us put the emphasis on mean defence like some teams and even take pride in defending our line. Right now, we look a million miles of being capable of that. How many times do we concede a penalty and a try follows?
We’ve had a tough start, no doubt about it and our points return isn’t a million miles from where most probably expected. Performances and team improvements have been lacking however. Obviously Bradford/Wakefield games are huge and will be a marker to where we’re at right now.

AARRGGHHH!! I really hate that. How come it's always in and around? Even when it makes absolutely no sense and only conjures up the most bizarre/obscene images.

| They may aswell have been ankles deep, they were as useful as the excrement whose place they'd have taken.

Not from me bud, for the support both Hull teams get ,we deserve better. Be honest has any supporter from either club had a realistic hope we will win owt? Most of us go out of loyalty than hope.

You've won two things already. Don't know you're born!
I try to enjoy games as a discrete 80 minute contest. I'd be thrilled if each win turned out to be a stepping stone to silverware but I think sports fans have got a bit obsessed with that. Most teams don't win a trophy, most of the time. At least our teams win sometimes (us not so much of late, admittedly). Fans of London - that is some unrelenting pain!
