I can see why Saints want Cox, he looks a very good player.

That's sport. If Cox continues to perform he'll be in the shop window, ala Taylor. We're not in position to realistically offer players the chance of silverware so we can't really compete with the top sides, without offering a lot more financially. He's had a stop/start career so far, and taken his opportunity back end of this year. Still early days whether he'll really kick on though. But all things considered, Rovers really should look to tie him up for 2015>.

The problem is, it is a made up argument with no basis of fact. Ergo, people naturally jump on it. The attendance was 4970 which every FC fan will agree is poor. Quite why there is any need to post drivel and argue the point of it is beyond me

Bottom line is if a big team come calling then its very difficult for the player to turn down, stay in Hull and realistically win nothing or move on to either RU, NRL or a big name club like Leeds, Wigan or Saints. you'll suffer similar with the young lads you've brought through.

Brisco wont be the only one, if this Jamie Shaul kicks on from his promising start and starts to make a name for himself, it wont be long before the bigger clubs start to show an interest.
Both Hull and Rovers will have a job hanging on to some of their promising youngsters unless of course investors inject some capital into either one of two clubs which i'm sure would make some difference with a view to the long term.
