If anybody is watching on sky could you please do me a favour... Rewind the match to 22mins 40 seconds and let me know what Stevo says about where the ball hit the player. Me and my girlfriend are disagreeing about what was said.

It's generally the decisions that referees don't give that have more influence than those they do. KR's discipline was fairly poor during the Wigan game having just watched it however there were plenty of incidents (such as 'hand on the ball' etc.) by Wigan which could easily be given but weren't. It's hard to play against that over 80 mins it's a drip feed of pressure which is never relieved by the same penalty given the other way. It's normal for so called 'lesser' sides at the DW to have to cop that.

Just watched the game (been away & did not know the score) & I am dumb struck that the Charnley try when the ball was clearly on the touch in goal line. No dispute clear as glass just how can they get it wrong so very wrong?
Now I have calmed down I don't think that it cost us the game but we should have been a lot closer. All in all it was a great game & I am pleased with the team & a big hand to the youngsters. If all our games are as close win or loose I will be happy with an effort like that.

The Charnley 2nd try was wrong, he should never have been awarded that.
Later the Charnley/Hodgson incident should have been a try. SKY's Super Zoom proved that.
Lauaki was very close and not sure whether he grounded and was pushed back or what. Ben of Doubt maybe?
Eden's pass was forward, you only have to look where the pass was made in relation to the 10 mtr line line and where it was caught in relation to the same line and it was clearly forward.
Also looked like the last try by Rover was a dropped ball. The ref awarded it and nothing was shown again.
Silverwood is ok but Child is awful. Trouble is he isn't up to SL standard but how do you get him there if you don't play him?
Wigan deserved their win but the officials will have a nightmare looking at that review.

I can agree with most of that except the forward pass, Eden passed it backwards but as he was stopped in the tackle the momentum already in the ball took it forward that is the reason the line is no true indication of forward as it is static everything else is subject to the laws of motion. You get some decisions you loose some but instead of having possesion Rovers were defending from a wrong decision. What I found interesting was the two school kids running the line intervened twice & were wrong twice when most other games they only run the line to get a good view of the match & never see anything.

The forward pass rule, states, I think, that the ball should travel backwards in relation to the player making it (the pass). It didn't on that occasion, or the pass immediately before it for that matter, which was 'flat', or forward as it is more correctly known. It is has become the norm these days, and there is no easy solution to it. Except for the refs to ping it more often.
