| Quote blakeysrobin="blakeysrobin"Well I am. He's as good as gone for me. A club with no money and no prospect of silverware, If I was Dobson and 27 years old I'd be shelling my cv out pronto. Some on here need a reality check.'"
The thing is Dobbo will be no doubt our top earner, so to move he will have to go to another club who will have the space on the cap to cover off that wage and effectively make him their top earner (or seriously weaken their squad). So his options would be to go to Salford, take a cut to go to a Wigan / Leeds (if they wanted him) or try his hand in oz again then I don't see much of an option for him.
I watched an interview with him a few years ago and he certainly seems like a guy who likes to be a big fish in a small pond, As I said he will go at sometime I just don't see that time as this year.

| What's Luke George got to do with Danny Nicklas anyways Danny Nicklas he was going to be the next big thing at FC until injuries and probably the tweet about another FC player, he certainly wants to prove himself and I think hel be a grt addition only 21, think we will all be pleasantly surprised and shud welcome him to kr.

| I saw that interview as we'll barham red it seemed to me like he choose at the time because there would be no pressure I think he actually said that so I don't see him moving everyone expected him to go the other season and he didn't

I think Salford is only an option if we push him, he wouldn't be on more money (if they're serious about challenging) Suppose it would depend upon how much cash they want to pay us.

No he wasn't.
I hope he turns out to be another Josh Hodgson signing for you.

| TBH I was shocked when I heard FC had let Danny go.
He has been very unlucky with injuries but has battled back after each one, and IMO was one of the best scrum halves in the reserve-grade competition before this dual registration malarky became the norm.
I recall talking to Andy Last in pre-season, and he said now that Danny is back to full fitness he is one to watch for the future. I hope he fulfills his potential with Rovers and proves FC wrong.

| I hope he comes good and does make an impact but can't see him being much more than a last gasp back up if our main 7 is out. FC have long documented problems with getting a 7 that is either good enough or fit enough to do a consistent job. This has given DN ample opportunity to break into the team and make it his position. For whatever reasons this hasn't happened and even without a starting 7 FC have deemed to let him go. As much as it goes against my ethos I would assume the coaching staff at FC are not idiots therefore the problem with DN must be either talent, application or both.
Josh Hodgson was different, FC had a few options at 9 and they deemed (rightly or wrongly) that they had 2 or 3 better options at 9 so our gain.
The best hope for DN is that a change of environment and supporting personnel give him a grounding for improvement but I'm not expecting this to be a Danny Brough type signing.
