Quote jools="jools"We were 8pts up and we were giving a correct penalty for crossing. Are you suggesting that because our players didnt stop what they were doing (defending) and indicate to the ref that an infringement had been made then there wasn't an infringement? A forward pass that never was and an advantage that never was since the ball was knocked out of robbos hands one on one. Alibert didn't have a perfect game- but there were no gamechangers to the tune of twenty points, or even 2. he missed a few high shots, a bit of holdingdown / offside, but not favouring any particular side. If sandercock is suggesting that the officials performance was so terrible can we have the ones you've had every week until now please.'"
Just a couple of points with this. Might seem over cooked, but there have been a number of decisions that have either failed to go our way, or big 50-50s that don't, so he is on a downer with the officials, mainly because they get so much wrong. Can be frustrated one week but when it is every week, something has to give. He is human, and to be honest having come from the nrl with 2 referee's and a decent standard, there is no comparisson, be the same as super league to ameatur rugby, dare say a few of those referee's could do the same standard of job, only thing missing would be fitness.
But thats the difference, there is always going to be the winning sides view, which will never mirror the other, you dont focus on any negative when you win and things go for you? You were always going to score points later on, you had double the possession in the first half and attacked well, so that was always going to count towards the end, plus been organised always helps! As for a turning point, 8pts up and given a penalty rightly so for crossing? come on, watch any game, on the line, every single team sends people through, we didnt touch or impede any of your players, if anything the player who shot off the line to go towards dobson was offside? but again, see whats needed. i never suggested your players should stop defending, but when you have brough and robinson, 2 of the biggest moaners in the game stood there and they normally shout for literally everything! and they say nothing and you'd actually carried on, says something about the decision, the only person who thought it was was terry, and that says it all really, hence the comments. Its all done now anyways, Hudds easily deserved the win, if we can learn to defend, respect the ball and somehow not get penalised to 10-15 times a game, we might be able to actually run you guys close.
