I think we will get more trys out of Eden on half the wage then you lot will out of McDonnel.
McDonnel is not much better in defence.

At magic game last year Salford killed us by 'miraculously' having many 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 attacking options. The reason was greg eden. He is utterly hopeless at organising the definsive line. gets the numbers wrong and eventually players lose faith in his judgements.

Eden also has regular brainfarts and poor ball retention. We saw plenty of that last night.

Finally he is soft.

He is a delight going forward and in most games there will be a flash of 'brilliance'. Just as it is near impossible to train 'in' the brilliance it is near impossible to train 'out' a pea sized heart / brainfarts / inability to quickly read the opposition and organise the defence.

Sandercock may be able to do something Brown and Anderson could not with GE. It wont be dull with GE on the pitch.

Haha not at all, Shannon McDonnell is nothing like as exciting as Eden and there both just as bad in defense, eden better under the highball, and that's not a snipe at McDonnell because as I've said on the hull forum, McDonnell was good for us when he could be bothered.

With the exception of Burns being available, I don't really see how we can improve. Clearly some bad errors got Salford back into the game, but our team's inability to defend is the problem, whoever is/isn't playing.

To beat Wire we're going to have to outscore them, simple as. We won't be able to stop them no matter how much/little ball they get. So it very much depends on how we look after the ball and how well we kick/chase. We've seen no sign of such a game plan so I'm not optimistic. The first hit up or tackle needs to set the tone. We have to match their intensity throughout and just hope it's our day. Given what we’ve seen recently though, we could absolutely get hammered if Warrington boss the game.

A couple of extra players on the pitch when defending would help,though we probably still wouldn't be able stop them knowing what our defence is like!

like i said there both great going forward but terrible in defence and if you think mcdonnel is a good defender your either very blinkered or stupid
