| How much money would you really need to have to blow £15m of it? Personally, Even if I won £150m on the euromillions I wouldn't sink £15m into Hull and I've been going regularly for 35 years, a passholder for many of them.
Now he may have the cash and be a total eccentric but if you have £15m+ then surely you can prove it pretty easily. He claims to have made his money on the financial markets - there must be documentary evidence of this wealth and it's likely that such funds would be pretty liquid and easily accessible.
I still have a sneaky feeling that maybe it is genuine and if it's spent wisely and invested for the future then good luck to rovers. It does no one in the game any good for clubs to be in financial difficulties.
Has anyone seen his shoes? He may shop at primark for the rest of his gear but a wise man once told me that if you have serious money then the one things you do is buy good hand made shoes.

| Whatever the outcome I do feel the club has handled the situation really well, its not often anyone threatens to put a lot of money into any club. NH andRC have made sensible dialogue regarding the situation and credit to them for that.
For what its worth a strange situation and i agree with several other posters, what could TL gain by saying he had the money if in fact he hasn't.? Fingers crossed but not holding my breath.!

I'm only interested in this debate as an outsider, but would agree with Gary that Rovers have handled this very well. How foolish would they have looked if they'd been jumping up and down and telling everyone that the money was theirs. Well done to all concerned.

Not some-thing I would do normally (posting on Rovers Forum) but I agree with you. Well done to NH and company for not jumping its the last thing Rovers or any RL club needs unless it is really kosher. Some of us remember Tim Wilby so well - Anorak and tatty shoes !!
By the way if he comes good good luck to you.

| Looking in from outside the thing that sticks in my mind is that after 3 months of talks, KR are still waiting for "proof of funds".
I think that setting a deadline is a good thing, all this talk about may or may not happen doesnt help anyone.
Roll on the new season we are nearly there.

Neither would I. But I would gladly put it into Rovers
The way I look at it is that the remaining £140 million would soon be back at the original amount if carefully managed and it would help my club immensely.

£96,000 worth of interest per week would mean you would
not need to dip into your original winnings.
You could put the £140 million into Rovers. Pay 20% corporation tax instead of 50% if you
had it in the bank. Offset any losses made by Rovers out of the interest generated from
the £140 million.
Alliteratively you could move to Monaco and pay 0 tax

| Can i just make what i think is a fairly valid point here, rovers have said that they have been in talks for 3 months with mr larvin don't we all think that after even a month rovers would have asked to see the evidence of monies whether it be in various accounts they must know there is money in there other wise they would have said bog off and stop wasting our time
