Cornmill as you well know is on Holderness Road closer to town than Greatfield, if you want a comparison then look at Platform 1 on old Hedon Road or whatever it is called, they have expanded and expanded over the years. There is plenty of business already down Hedon Road with the Saltend and Docks area that will all require a level of accommodation only afforded by the Hotel in Hedon and Platform 1 so I can see plenty of existing usage from them, the Green Project at the docks would be an added bonus.

Platform one went bankrupt, and is now Trinity Hotel. This scores a 2 star on Trip advisor, so maybe not the best of hotels.
I suspect that most business that require a "good" hotel, will put clients in town, and taxi them there.
If Rovers do acquire a hotel, it will either fulfill the B & B market (contractors) or nothing IMO. You simply cannot plonk decent hotels in terrible areas and expect them to be successful, whatever buisness may be in the area. A 10 min taxi ride from town is not really a big deal.

Rovers won't build or acquire a hotel. A commercial partner might, I suppose, if they thought it a viable business proposition. The people who make that decision will, I imagine, have to sit in very boring meetings considering bullet points (if it even gets that far), exactly the sort of thing that people come on here for a moments respite from.

I think that the building excitement on here over a five star Marriot forming part of the new South Stand at rovers probably deserved some comment though.
