Here is one I saw and touched a nerve:

So Remembrance Day is drawing near
More names to be added to the wreaths this year
They went out as youngsters,but died as a man
In the Devils own sandpit called Afghanistan


They all joined the forces,to all do their best
Now too many of them have been laid to rest
Over 400 of them have now paid the price
And we will remember them for their sacrifice


Over 400 young men have now lost their lives
Leaving 400 families,girlfriends or wives
So on the 11th when the fallen you remember
Please dont forget their family members

And its not just the Dead we remember that day
But the wounded and maimed that are with us today
And those that are damaged in Spirit and brain
And may never live a normal life again

And Cameron and Clegg they are not pieces on a board
But young lives you send to fight the Taliban hoard
You send them overseas,and they do their bit
And when they return you treat them like sh*t

And theres no such thing as an acceptable loss
Tell that to the parents whose son they have lost
The purpose of a weapon is to maim or to kill
In the hands of the Taliban,believe me,they will

Mr Cameron has you lay your wreaths with the other MPs
Dont think that you will get off scot free
You wont be forgotten when Election day comes
You will be remembered for all that you,ve done

Interesting story. I was in The Ardennes a couple of years ago and the number of cemeteries is really quite sobering. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission does a marvelous job of maintaining them. I'd recommend that everyone visits The National Memorial Arboretum at some point. www.thenma.org.uk The huge central memorial really is a thing of beauty but the empty panels waiting to be added to brings the reality of what our armed forces are involved in sharply into focus.
