Quote bishops finger="bishops finger"It's a brave move to come in and take over knowing how much the club loses every year IMO'"
And in the context that the current regime has I think taken the business from neutral in net assets terms to net liabilities of -£2.8m. as has been suggested on here before, much of what's owed to directors you'd think would be written off by them, so it will come down to future cash flow projections and confidence therein. Assuming you hit 7k passes target again, this will be a good barometer of fan engagement. Whoever comes in, if they are going to take the club forward (ie step on aspects requiring improvement) would need to have the appetite to invest in areas like the academy as well as getting squad spend back to full cap. Seen it mentioned that the MS3 director could well be the man for the job.
The other aspect is control. If someone else is holding the purse-strings, would they want Hudgell to still be making the calls as chairman? He's been pretty hands-on, would be hard for him to relinquish control, although obviously Mike Smith has been fulfilling the CEO role for some time.
Interesting timing of this announcement with 2 new signings still to be announced. Completion before season pass deadline?
