Quote Tarquin Fuego="Tarquin Fuego"The OP is correct and , as a kinda neutral , I agree with the sentiment.
Rovers will struggle with getting out of the bottom 3 next season , they are cutting about 500,000 off their cap and paying existing players less [u(Lovegrove for one [/u).
This really impacts on performance and moral and with no real leaders you will struggle. If this ws happening at FC I would be fearing the worst due to the above - MORAL .
Bulls , if they stay in SL , will do the same , cut back to 1 million on the cap as they strive to break even. Maybe FC will in 2 years time as AP runs out of patience if we don't break 14,ooo or make a Final etc'"
Absolute Rubbish, the players you speak of and seem to think you know on a personal basis are quite happy to stay at the club, in fact Lovegrove is on record as saying he was more than happy to have signed a deal for his extended stay at the club even though he apparently had other offers elswhere.
With regards to cutting the wage bill, that is a sensible move given the current climate and the state of the rugby leagues finances as a whole, at the end of the day all clubs have to get value for their money invested, but players such as Clinton and Webster for example were poor value for money, we will get much better value from the players who will be replacing them imo.
If i were a Hull fan i would be praying that Adam Pearsons speculative gamble of pays off and they achieve success plus the 14000 or so they will need every week to break even because if thing dont work out, then Hull Fc could well find themselves in a similar position to the Bradford Bulls current one in a few years time.
