It's not a stretch of my imagination, it's my opinion that he's an average full-back who has in recent weeks started playing better. I'm also not annoyed or frustrated that he's moving on for that exact reason, as I said, good luck to him. I certainly won't be booing him and whilst he wears a Rovers shirt I will also support him, however I feel it's in the best interests of the team that
IF we have plans in place to play someone who is already in the squad at FB next season, that player should play there from now on. That way they (and therefore the team) will be in far better position come the start of the season.
IF the plan is to bring in another fresh signing at FB then fair enough, Shannon should clearly remain there. Just seems to make obvious sense to me.
