Quote: dum-dum "Charlie played for us for 5 years and you can remember one occasion that he struggled with an high ball? I suppose all we've got to do then is kick 5 years worth of high bombs at him and he'll mess one up.
Ben was always competent at full back and in my memory I can only remember a few occasions he's let us down, he made up for his misakes in most games so I never went home blaming him if we'd lost. Wakey have a good player in Ben, he'll go well for them.
People are also writing off Foxy based on one season, I didn't want Foxy to leave, he'll probably be back to his best again.'"
I used it as an example and can remember others. I remember the east stand having to shout for him to face his own sticks as he attempted a catch. He was a good national league full back hence why we got briscoe. He was a whole heatred player and fully committed but had his flaws. He will go well for them as will fox and although I was the same as you in that I did not want hime to leave, I feel that it was the best for us and him and his downfall in my opinion was switching to the right away from welham who had formed a good partnership.
Last year he looked like he did not enjoy his rugby or be bothered. One example would be against huddersfield giant away when I think cudjoe scored from a grix return of our kick and scott murrell over took fox chasing back to attempt to stop the try. That to me seemed to show his future was elsewhere.
