A new Full Back required for next season then; who's in the frame?

the quality of english fullbacks occ is very poor so unless the club are willing to pay a transfer for someone the club could struggle getting a good fullback. as ive mentioned before micheal robertson is a scottish international so might not be a quota player not sure on how that works

Well he'll be non fed and if he doesnt have a uk/eu passport on quota as well.

non-fed isn't a major issue for us. If he has a passport, he looks like a good option. ~200 NRL games, still only 28, can play wing, so if Sheriff does kick on, we'd have options. But could we afford him and would he want to come?

I think somebody like Blaymire or Halley is maybe more realistic.

There is no way that Rovers would be prepared to lose a player of Shaun Briscoes calibre and replace him with Dave Halley as first choice full back. Wont happen.
I know that there have been rumours of belt tightening at Rovers regarding team affairs but in my opinion the re-signings of Dobson and Galea along with the signing of Dave Hodgson dont suggest it is going to be the case.

I really, really hope this is true. Cashmere is the sort of no nonsense, tackle buster that I thought we were getting in Clinton. Difference is Cashmere can do it in SL.

Maybe the club are looking more at Yorkshire based players ?
