If these people don't turn up now against the likes of Wigan, St's, Leeds etc etc because they can't get in the East Stand would the lure of being in the East Stand be enough for them to turn up against the lesser teams?....I doubt it to be honest.
Hull fans get slated for not wanting to pay for the South Terrace, yet in the same reckoning 1k Rovers fans at least do it every home game!! |

Agreed, but the only slight difference is the 1,000 Rovers fans are 8,000th in the queue when it comes to committment to the club, you would expect your 1,000 to be the front of the queue.
Don't really want this one today, we should save it for early June.  |

A valid point, what about the North Stand though?...hardly, if ever full apart from derby day.
Can't honestly see 1000+ turning up week in week out just because they can get in the East Stand, sure somebody posted earlier that there were around 100 East Stand tickets still available on Saturday. |

My brother tried to get one on Saturday and was told it was sold out, only seats in the RM and North were available. |

Could well be the case, like I say I'm sure I saw somebody post different (Nick perhaps?).
My point remains the same though, I can't see the East Stand extention raising gates by 1k+, and personally think Rovers would be better served improving the commercial side of the business, leaving a lower, more realistic crowd average required. |

We need to improve the above but we also can't move away from the goal of a 10k average crowd. It's not out the question and something we have to strive for in the long term to compete with the rest of SL. An East stand extension will certainly help to get closer to that magic 10k figure. |

I agree with the goal as such, and in the long term it may quite happen...won't by simply extending the East Stand I'm afraid. |
