| In todays Hull Daily Mail Ben has said he is dissapointed that he has not been offered a contrcat extension. His contract runs out at end of the 2010 season. He would like to stay and if he is not offered a new deal will look for another club in SL or in Australia. Whilst he is 31 years old if he produces the goods as he has done in the past two seasons I think Rovers should sort him a contract extension out ASAP. After ball he has ben player of the year in his first season an along with Clint Newton voted the best second row pair in SL in 2009.

| With the quota coming down, giving Galea or Webster a deal now, kind of tells the other they aren't wanted. Cooke and Walker will also be playing for new deals. Thought has to be given to age and quota status (problems for Galea), as well as quality of their performances (where Galea leads this little field at the moment).

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God: |
|
| Both will leave at the end of the season, as will Cooke and Walker unless they accept reduced contracts

| With Vella, Lovegrove & Fisher exempt anyway, 2011 season we'll only have 5 quota spots. 3 of them will already be taken up with Clinton, Dobson & Newton, we'll only have 2 others and it would probably be best to try and get a couple of marque signings on 2/3 year contracts rather than giving a one-year extention to a 32 year old.
It's best to see how he goes this season and see how things pan out in terms of which NRL players are coming off contracts.
I think that it's good for SL as a whole that the quota comes down to 5 cos that means clubs will recruit quality rather than quantity and that in turn will help bring on the youngsters getting their chance as the academy quota increases in turn.
