I dont see why rovers fans are so far up his . He played well against a average NZ that rarely threatened Englands outside backs, and when they did he was at fault. He strolled in for his second try and his first try was taken well. He will get ripped apart against the aussies.

I think you'll find a very large thread on your own board where your fans were saying Briscoe was the next biggest thing because he fell over the froggy line twice.

Made up for him tonight. I'll admit i was a little worried before the game about his selection because i thought he'd looked a little short of confidence at the back end of the season but he looked very comfortable and confident tonight.

100% Sure of keeping his place next week imo.

As for another KR player in Briscoe i've been suprised to read a few fans question his contribution in this tournament. I reckon he's been solid as a rock and hasn't looked out of place at all but then as a Wiganer i'm possibly biased.

It's more a case of we are pleased for him after a)-him being dropped again,(he was very unlucky to be dropped last year for Calderwood,who got picked after 1 decent game)
and b)- the crap that has been posted about him from certain Fc fans on these pages.

I could not care less who the ENGLAND players play thier club rugby for . I think all the team played well tonight . Mr Fox deserves his chance and I am sorry to say but I would not bring back Tom Briscoe for this tournament . He is only 19 plenty of time yet . fox is only young as well and he took his chance as should be the case ,no one should think that their place is guaranteed .The full set of backs is young and not afraid of the Aussies . It Is about time that we could drop a player because he did not perform .In years gone by we would still of stuck with Pryce, Maguire , etc but Smith has come in and said play or fxxk off . Shaun Briscoe should of been in that England team last year but it took a disgraceful showing up to finally realise that a shake up was needed
