I would like to personally thank the hundreds of rugby league fans who have sent me messages of support in the last week.
I have been completely overwhelmed by the response and feel very, very lucky to be part of the warm-hearted and kind rugby league family.
It has certainly increased my determination to get back to work and rest assured, I will be back in the hot seat for the challenge cup semi-finals.
I can't believe i missed two such thrilling and tight matches in the quarters but i had the luxury of watching them at home and marvelled, once again, at the skill and intensity of the sport.
As for me, i'm doing just fine. My voice is miles better and the scar on my neck doesn't look nearly as bad as i feared it might. I feel full of energy and am raring to get back into the thick of it.
I am very lucky to have got a cancer that is very treatable and i fully intend to crack on as normal. I am not prepared to indulge in any self pity or let it ruin a fabulous summer sport.
Having said that, i am really appreciative of all the sympathy and support you have given me - it is an honour to be part of your sport.
