| although am a fax fan i have to say Ellis should win the award this year.
Ben Black is a top notch player but Ellis has been consistent year round. Ben had a dip in form and confidence towards the end of the season.
Ellis to win the award for me. although ben is back on form now and it will be interesting to see who gets the better of the final on sunday.
well done to Barrow and Ellis i think he will win the player of the year.

| The winners of the 2009 Co-operative Championship annual awards were revealed tonight at a glittering ceremony in Manchester.
Among the winners were Barrow Raiders’ star Andy Ellis, who collected the Co-operative Championship Player of the Year award, and Dewsbury’s Liam Finn, who was named Co-operative Championship One Player of the Year.
Barrow coach Dave Clark scooped The Co-operative Championship Coach of the Year Award with Dewsbury coach Warren Jowitt winning the accolade for Championship One.
Co-operative Championship One champions Dewsbury Rams were named Co-operative Championship Club of the Year in recognition of their overall development and progress.

· The winners of the Frontline Fair Play Index Award in the Co-operative Championship is Halifax
