What constitutes producing players in your opinion SRC?
I think its great that Fax are running an excellent scholarship and next year will run both reserves and academy. Widnes is already doing this and has a number of internationals on their scholarship and academy! Widnes has taken up an offer by the RFL to join ‘the trailblazers’ with their scholarship playing U15 & U16 in (like their academy) an elite competition against Wigan, Saints etc. Neither one of them could make super league at the next franchise, still a wise and sincere investment to both the areas and the game as a whole. From a reliable source out of RFL, Widnes has one of the best systems investing sport science support from a top university in to their young kids, and may not make super league. Yet Barra’ do completely the opposite and convince yourself you will do this?
Something else – Celtic have become an embarrassment to our sport and the RFL, as they flounder but will survive because of the support from RFL and their extremely hard working and talented staff, represent a maker in failure because of the lack of such infrastructure and will influence the next licensing bid from clubs such as Barra’. Basically if you NOT doing the lot, you not going to get in super league off the back of a promise and nice looking presentation of the business structure.
I believe you will win the grand final, but please don’t let it paper over the cracks in your plight’. The sacking, employing and re-sacking of the coaches says a lot about your big time Charlie of a chairmen, who will eventually run out money in his own personally needs for attention. It’s nice your profile has been raised and welcome back from all your suffering but success is about continuity and consistency over many years. Hull KR did it, but since then licensing has set the bar very high in terms of criteria.
There is no doubt SRC you have a dream but don’t insult our intelligence as foundations are always built first or maybe not when you build a ship, as this is your legacy and ultimately will be your undoing.

I go to the rugby to watch the game and have a few beers with my mates as I assume you do faxtastic - not to admire the lovely toilets or the nice seating. Bollox to that - If I wanted world class facilities I'd follow fan*y ball !! I agree that Widnes appear to be the only club 'currently' ready for SL and are a nailed on cert. I'd love to see the RFL stick to their guns though and expel those teams who haven't kept their promises.......Doubt it will happen though do you ?'"
I agree mate.I think location and stadium is bollox to be honest.Even telling teams to spend lots of money on a youth structure like widnes are doing.I prefer promotion and relegation every year.
But if rules are their i think a few superleague teams should be replaced.Why they got a god given right over barrow,fax,widnes or leigh?
Yeah mate, i think this licence process is turning fans against each other, which is wrong.It is a family sport, and i like to see fairness.I am a widnes fan and if we got a franchise and not won a grand final, i know we will get alot of stick. Serious now we are spending lots on youth and we be lucky if two or three come through.Most have left and gone to championship 1 sides such as rob draper,josh simm,keaveney,ostick,oconnor,bradburn etc.A few went to superleague like myler and sidlow.I feel it a waste of money, unless we got a franchise.Flynn,houghton and grady look good enough for the championship, from the youth.What the point in a youth set up if superleague clubs take your talent, or national league 1 sides take them?Anyway lets all enjoy our rugby next year and i think their will be some great games.
