It's very difficult to put a value on forwards. With no points for defence other than not being on the losing side it's always going to be tricky. Also the measurements for a forward are more subjective, could you measure meters gained, tackles made, missed tackles and how would you score them to balance out the try scoring from the backs???

We are actually looking into having a scoring factor for the forwards but it won't be introduced until next season. We are making big impact changes each year, 2012: new look system, 2013: points for kickers and other system tweaks, 2014: forwards? and anything else we think of.
