as much as i enjoy entering the fantasy and prediction games, and i do appreciate the work and effort the mods/judges put in each week....i feel a little moan has to be aired.

the points system for the predictions imho is not as good as the previous years for example...

widnes 4-16 saints got me 4 points ( i predicted 12-24) i COULD have predicted 100-112 and STILL got 4 points...correct?

YET...

hudds 36-6 london (i predicted 34-6) got me 1 point. so close to perfect, only worth ONE, yet....miles away with the saints score is worth FOUR ....just because the "gap" was correct.

i feel this stands out as a good example of what i'm meaning.

of course predicting the score bang on should be the goal, and yes, correctly guessing the gap should give a reward. but surely , getting one of the teams score correct should reap a reward, win or lose...?

i realise it's not going to change, and you can't please everyone all the time, but i thought i'd give you my opinion for what it's worth.

The points system in previous years seemed better.

IIRC you got points if you got the margin right within 6 points and points if you got either teams score right within 2 points

I don't really know about previous years, there certainly wasn't any predictions games last year.

This year is a bit of test year, so all recommendations will be looked at. It sounds to me like the closer to the score you are the more you should get?

I predicted 20 - 20 for the St's vs Hull game, it finished 22 - 22, yet i received a score of 0, is this right?
I thought you scored points for correct margin?
