Good luck to the lad, other than him looking good under the high ball I didn't see a lot in him to be honest so am surprised he has gone to a SL club. Seemed scared of taking the ball in; and it was his inability or unwillingness to chase back that got Newcastle in field position for their wining drop goal. I'd play Sam, Chrimes and Halliday ahead of him. Also got to assume he was looking for SL wages and full time, which would have been a lunacy for us to pay. IMO

He was a chunky, athletic lad, but he didn't seem overly interested in going forward and having a sprint.
He dealt with what was thrown at him very well, but that was it.
I was expecting a few barging runs. To be fair he was never given a clear cut chance with poor service from his centre, almost like he was being protected, a bit like Lawton was for a long time.

Maybe the full time wage will help solve that unwillingness.

That's a surprise. Unless he's improved since I last saw him play I'd consider him to be workmanlike rather than Super League standard.

Hull KR had signed him for next season ,but as Dewsbury are out of the play offs and with Rovers facing the drop ,he has been allowed to leave early with Hull paying Dewsbury a fee for him.

That's interesting KLD. I presumed Hull KR had signed him to help with their current injury issues but they clearly see him as a player for the future, as well as the short-term.

I thought he was a workhorse when he played for us on loan from Wakefield ………...nothing outstanding but a reliable forward that was strong in defence and carried the ball strongly.

Hull KR must see something in him to offer him a year deal and also pay a fee to take him for the last six matches of this year.

Reece Dean moves on loan from Hunslet to Dewsbury for the rest of this season.
