| Phoenix Thirsty Moon 4.6% in the Tut hasn't been too bad at all. A bitter with an extra dry edge to it.

| Another success from Dukeries in the shape of Bolt Out Of The Blue 5.0% sampled in the Gatehouse yesterday.
Also Grafton Marmalady 4.8 tasted in the Angel ... as you might imagine, orange is the key to this brew, both in looks and taste.

| Bolton (Saturday evening) ...
Alma ... Jennings Cumberland Ale
Spinning Mule ... Three B's Pinch Noggin 4.6% ... gorgeous!
Old Three Crowns ... a house ale brewed by Theakstons 3.7%
Elephant & Castle ... Bank Top Barley To Beer 3.6%
Man & Scythe ... Bank Top Flat Cap 4.0%
Barristers ... Hyde's Friendship 4.5% & Bank Top Port O Call 5.0%
The 3 Bolton brews and the Hyde's ale were all very nice but the Three B's was the best of an enjoyable evening.

| A much improved crawl to be had around Donny these days. We did The Corner Pin, Gatehouse, Old Angel, Plough and Tut'n'Shive. Special mention yo The Corner Pin. Good ale good atmosphere, the food looked good and a pleasant and knowledgeable landlord. You have got a little gem there.
