Agreed. No team with an 8 point lead inside the final quarter of a game, playing against opposition which goes down to 11 men, should end up losing.
I've read elsewhere that Kes is ok, hope Jordan Howden is too (that looks a nasty one).

Spot on, we were not professional enough when it mattered. It was hard to see who was in charge for our lot during that crucial period, they got into our heads and we blew it, another learning curve for a young coach and his team.

I believe the injury to Jordan happened completely accidentally, but, thats based on being about 50 yards from the incident when it happened. I may need to watch it back to see exactly what.

| Spoke to one of the players tonight and he was shocked at Hunslets behaviour and their tactics.

From my view I agree, Jordan's injury was caused by his own bravery going in to retrieve a poor pass from the back of the scrum

| Hunslet came with one single agenda, to try and bully us out of playing rugby...…………………………….. and it worked.
How can you lose a game against 11 men when we looked to have the game wrapped up after twenty minutes?
Surely all that was needed was basic rugby , logic states that if you have two more players on the pitch than your opponent there will be some sizable gaps in their defence to exploit.
In my eyes its the players and not the coach that should carry the can for this defeat ,very poor decision making and poor execution.
Its ok people saying why didn't we take the two points when you are ten meters from their line with two players more 9 time out of 10 you score ……….end of.
A tough game next week and our offence needs a marked improvement , Hunslet were big and physical, so why for gods sake did we try to play through and not around them?
Fash and Douglas looked strong carrying the ball however Miloudi was awful trying to do too much everytime he received the ball.
Coventry turning over Newcastle was a big shock and given the signings they have made their chances of promotion look a distant dream unless they get their act together sharpish.
This season looks like a case of if your not at the races, then any of the teams in the top half can snatch the points from you.
We looked like we lacked ideas after losing Howden, Workington are a better side than Hunslet and also have a large pack ,we need to play smarter or face another defeat.

| I agreee with KLD, it was poor on the pitch decision making today. We were obviously the better rugby team but got suckered in rather than doing what we can do. Things like grubbering on the second tackle when nothing is on is just daft. And whatever we think of Thornton and those familiar tactics we got so bored of here, he could foten grind out a narrow win with it and thats what happened again.
I do think the try dissalowed for double movement was an awful decision (particuarly when you compare it to the try Theo Fages was given on Friday night), but it shouldn't have mattered and it wasn't the only bad decision given all day.

| Well we will just get more of the same at Hunslet and if Pryce has seen it, more of the same next week.
I mean physicality, not dirty tactics.
The old joke "I wasn't a very good player, but I could stop them that were" applies here.
They shut us down and we had no plan B.
We were ticking along nicely and they got rough.
I'm sure I saw their 21 throw a right hook/ uppercut at Miloudi and then spend the next 15 minutes laughing at the crowd when nothing was done.
Shocking by the officials.
He should have gone there and then.
And when he did act, we squandered the chance to run their s off by playing it down the middle..
I thought we would get at least one and probably two tries then.
But they outsmarted us.
A really unnecessary defeat.
As for 'kicks didn't matter' ... the games was won on kicks at goal.
Hunslet lapped theirs up apart from one miss and we turned ours down and ours were easy.
We would have won that game if we had kicked, it is as simple as that ... and it is not hindsight.
Also their yardage taking the ball in was making ours look feeble and gave them a lot of heart. After a poorish start by Hunslet, they sussed we were struggling and that they were the stronger side.
They turned out to be a much better side than the one we defeated at their place and Thornton has recruited well.

| Poor game management from the players in my opinion.
Miloudi looked like a show pony trying much too hard to impress (Were his boots pink or was it my eyes?).
On that performance I cant see him featuring for Hull's first team much this year as his style of play is too off the cuff, when Super League now a days is all about structure.
When he gets the space to run at teams at times he is unplayable but more often than not he is nullified by running up his own backside to gain an extra few inches of turf.
How can teams set up offensive plays when you have a player dancing from pillar to post trying to gain an extra yard.
Play him against the lesser sides and he will have a field day, not the case against the bigger boys who get in his face and try to provoke a reaction.
