Yes, i eagerly await a response. If however it is true i can't see why they would send him to Dewsbury rather than us, they're hardly leagues ahead of us are they and they already have a tie up with Bradford? Could it be that Glenn Morrison(former Wakefield player) has more say with where Wakeys players go than our 'partnership'?
The more i hear about these DR/feeder club arrangments the less i like it. I see Keighley are the latest club to sell their soul to the devil by linking up with Cas. I can see that when promotion and relegation are reintroduced there will be no independant clubs left in the championship capable of the step up.

| He was the best of he Wakey players and really helped us get the prizes.
He seemed to like playing for Donny, if his effort was anything to go by.
I'm gutted by that.
We aren't really doing very well out of this dual reg thing are we?

| To be honest i don't think i will be getting another season ticket if we are going to persist with this DR/feeder club situation. I'd rather watch us with our own players in CC1 than not know who we have playing for us from one week to the next depending upon the whims of Wakefield or whoever.

| I spoke to Lucas at the Wakefield game and he was looking forward to coming back to play for The Dons this season once his ribs had healed properly . He is from Dewsbury and he would be playing under his old coach in Morrison ,so maybe that had a bearing on his choice of club.

| quite frankly this is an embarassment and has been mentioned makes a mockery of the partnership system. Personally I eagerly anticipate next season when we can tell Wakefield 'thanks but no thanks' and retain our dignity.

| As I said on this forum only recently we have done pretty well out of the agreement so far. However, this is a very serious warning of how we will be treated when it suits the 'bigger boys'.
Completely unimpressed over this turn of events!

| The difference might be that Dewsbury will be paying for him during the loan spell whereas you dont when they are on dual reg?? I dont know its just a thought and maybe the reason why , financial.

| We won £70.000 pounds, which compared to the entire season ticket sales is big dosh and yet?
And yet we have a side only marginally better than last term having to play in theory better opposition.
So since we haven't spent it on players, how could Dewsbury be a more attractive offer?
It will be down to travelling as well.
Rugby players will play for anyone.
It might as well be the nearest club if the choices in class are similar.
Or perhaps he watched the game and thought that Dewsbury were the better bet.
If Donny had won, he might have come to us.
Who cares now!

| It's a disappointment but he is not irreplaceable. We'll just have to move on.
If the others bed in, we'll forget all about him in a few weeks. If not, this one will run and run.

| He has only gone on loan to Dewsbury for a month as we are trying to give all our signed players a chance to shine before going down the dual reg route

So he could still play for the Dons this season?

| Yes, We are trying to be fair to all the players from last season and give everybody a fair crack of the whip before looking at other options available to us.
I know we are going to get disguntled players this season when they are not selected ,but that is the nature of the game ,as it always has been. Players want to play ,Fact !!!! You don't have to be Einstein to work out that with a squad of 24 players and only 17 shirts available ,someone will be disappointed each week. However it is up to the players who aren't selected to prove that they are worth the shirt by knuckling down in training and not throwing their toys out of the pram. It is a very long season and injuries and loss of form will occur, so they need to bide their time and grab the chance when it comes. And it will come!!!
