| Finally managed my first pint of Thorne Pale Ale at the Jemmy Hirst at Rawcliffe last night and was not disappointed. An excellent summer thirst quencher, though at £100 a share I can't really afford to invest sadly ,even if the dividend is in beer

Had it bottled from a shop in Caernarfon and enjoyed it, but not sampled draught yet. The Porthmadog brews are good too.

| Thorne Best Bitter should be on at The Leopard and Tonik this weekend. Thorne Pale Ale might also be on at The Leopard.

| Just had two pints of Old Thumper by Ringwood at the Sun Inn at the junction of York Road and Barnsley road at Scawsby.
5.6% at £2.45..........................that equates to normal strength tasteless e (like John's) at £1.60 a pint which you pay well over £2 for..
Superb!!!
My wife had a Hobgoblin .......no not me.

| Had the Hobgoblin in there about a fortnight ago (see Page 47), not as good as in Barristers Bar in Bolton earlier this year but still a pleasant surprise. Will endeavour to pop up and try the Ringwood brew.
