| For me Jez Litten was a cut above everyone yesterday and really got us going forwards. Every time there was a late retreat he was off and ate up the yards with ease. He would have had my vote for MOM.
Miloudi is an attacking creator and Owen a defensive organiser. We look stronger defensively when Owen is at the back and stronger offensively when Miloudi has the ball in hand off the back of go forward created by the likes of Litten. There was less talk from the back than usual yesterday and they could have exposed us a number of times on our right edge. I genuinely feel that wouldn't have happened if Owen had been at FB.
I thought Connor Scott and Osborne showed up well in the front row and Boyle lacked some match fitness, but his hits were all meaningful as they always are.
Brad England plays like that week in and week out and for me is our most consistent player. One of those who does the work and just gets on with things. The yellow card at the end was the reason I would have given Litten the MOM over him.
Jordie Hedges was very good again and why he didn't start over Muranka I will never understand. Having said that I thought Muranka had a decent game yesterday and probably the best I've seen him play.
I believe the yellow card was a symptom of the shocking officiating at this level but that's a whole other subject.
It was two more points and we are top of the league. Leeds won Super League last year winning ugly and grinding out results. Personally I would prefer games like the CC Newcastle game but the two points are what matters.
Already looking forward to next Sunday COYD!!!!

The doom and gloom gang have a go at the happy clappers and the happy clappers have a go at the doom and gloom gang that's what forums are all about and it happens on nearly every forum up and down the country, I personally think both sets of the pint half full/half empty fans have valid points but us doom and gloomers take it on the chin better and don't hide just because we didn't hear something we don't like!'"
I don't think that DM does see everything through rose coloured glasses but like him I like to see balanced comments reflecting the bad areas but also praising the good ones. It didn't take the Jonahs long to revert to type and post the totally negative comments

You can see why the Hull fans rate Litten, given better weather and firm pitches he will be a real asset. I have been really impressed with Howden and he would be my starting 6, seems to have a calmness and authority for such a young bloke. Can we take it that the scan on his hip showed all clear.

| Was talking to an ex Dons player in a pub prior to the game.
He said he played around 84/85 which was just before I started in 1986.
His name is Paul Murrell... I think he said.
Anyone remember him playing?

I certainly don't recall a Paul Murrell playing for the Dons first team he may have played for the second team but I can't remember anyone of that name.
In that period there were a few trialists who played under the names of S.0.Else. A.Another or A.Newman

Thanks Geoff ... I knew you would know.
I mean I could have got his surname wrong.
How about Paul Mennell?
I thought he was Andy Clarke for a minute.
He reckoned that he played with Parky and Audley ..

Not to worry ... perhaps I will bump into him again and get his name right this time.

i was told Sunday Howden was back training last week, so hopefully we will see him this Sunday, in which would be a good game to come back into for match fitness.
As long he is picked that is but i think he was better than he had been before, when he's played this season.
missed him i think since the Newcastle cc game

| Here's my view on Sunday for what it's worth:
First half we looked lazy, we raised the urgency for about 20 minutes in the second half which was enough to win the game against a well organised team with some good individuals. I'd say they're a couple of creative heads off being a decent outfit. When we got going we were easily the better side. For the second week in a row our players let them get under our skin and it costs us, arguably cost us the game v York and cost us points this week. Giving away penalties for gobbing off is simply wrong. We can expect teams to niggle us for the rest of the year now, so we have to stop acting like kids and get on with it. We are missing players and have too many playing in make shift roles.
Miloudi - I have no idea where I would play him. He needs to be able to get the ball in attacking positions, that much is clear. He ain't a fullback though, particularly when we have a more than competent fullback being wasted on the wing. Miloudi must be made of soap cause he's always a handful to put down, no one knows what he is going to do next; unfortunately that includes our players. Tali must have ran a line off him three times only to over run cause it never came, and then other times passed it when he probably shouldn't have. Hakim is better decision making off being near perfect with ball in hand.
Owen - As I say, wasted on the wing, if he isn't playing at 1 then don't play him. Particularly when we have AJB or Sanderson available who know that role and do it better. He was obviously frustrated which I think contributed to his petulance.
Litten - Quiet first half, as was everyone else. Provided much of the spark in the second. I would have him in the squad every chance I get.
Muranka - I made a point of watching him closely this week. He does a lot of tackling, more than I realised. As an attacking force, he doesn't look like getting through the line but did make yards in most collisions. he is no Brad England though whop for me is top class.
Osborne - Didn't look interested for me, a shadow of Braham.
Hedges - Due to the unfortunate injury to Cross which didn't help either, Hedges was another out of position (IMO) in the half backs. I know we signed him as one, but he isn't now. He is quite an accomplished 13 in my book.

You were very close ... was in the Nelson at the time (or whatever its name is now).
Let's just say an 'interesting' bunch gets in there ... the Urban too.
