| 52-4 was the final score I think.
I enjoyed it. It was nice to see so many familiar faces
Sean Leaf, Peter Green,Johnny Woodcock, Audley Pennant etc.
As well as the usual Dons faithful supporters.
Well done to the Select side and well done to the Dons.
On cold, damp, muddy days like today you can feel the pain of the hits. Rugby is a man's game.
Well done to all concerned.
COYD
PS
Put Tom Hodson in the clear and wave him bye bye!

| I thought it was Dons 50 - Doncaster Select 4, although will stand corrected
China got two tries and missed a conversion.
We got there just after the game started and we were the 389/390th people through the gate, so a good turn out for China

| Also, I am loving that kit! Need to get one of those, if not only to have fun explaining why I have a blue and gold shirt, with a Doncaster badge, a Scottish thistle design and China on the back

That's brilliant, I'd have guessed nearer the 200-mark. I always find it hard to guess when people are stood most of the way round the pitch (or perhaps it's my age ).

| Enjoyed the afternoon & seeing some faces from the past in the bar ! A good run out for the players , Thought Carl Hughes had a good game at 6 & young Tom Hodson looked quick on the wing.
Chris Hemmings had a good game for the amateurs .
All in all a good afternoon for Dean (china).

| Echo what Paul Weighman has said. Great to see faces from Thorne and Moorends where I live and their young familes on tow enjoying the game. If this had been in summer Im sure the barbeques would have sold out. My feeling is a few of the district team could have worn a Dons shirt and would not have looked out of place but nice to hear the local lads after a try being scored against them geeing everybody up. Had a word with Jonny Woodcock but seemed the many long away trips for the Dons put him off, although he has not commited himself till the RU has finnished. Great day all round.

Both Marauders, 7 Was Ryan Rafferty the son of Roy, the 6 Was Mark Roach! Another son of an ex Dons player (Howard Roberts) was the 14 who went to stand-off (Shaum Roberts).
To be expected the amateurs gave the pro's a game for a good hour.

You're right, I thought all the Select side did themselves proud.
They made the Dons look nothing special for a long period.
But the Dons superior fitness and organisation proved better in the end.
One thing is for sure in my mind, if the Select played together as one side week in week out, then they would have given the Dons a much tighter game. They were effectively a scratch side which is always a disadvantage.
They did well.
