Agreed Paul, shame some others did not match his enthusiasm.

| I agree that Liam tried hard on saturday, I also think Scott Howlett has been good for us his defence is awesome and never stops trying think he is the youngest player we have ( i maybe wrong).Against Haven and Barrow his enthusiasm and defence was also fantastic. IMO he is developing into a fine player and as he gets a bit older and stronger will be a great aquisition to our team.

| Was in the USA saw the result, sheesh what can I add to this, nothing is probably the only answer. Sorry and probably well played Siddal. I get to far fewer games than I would like this is just depressing. I posted comments elsewhere and wont repeat here.I will be over in the UK two weeks in April and will be at the games, hopefully something will have improved but by the sounds of the comments in the thread I doubt it. My e mails on other threads get in contact asap before its too late, this is the only rugby team I ever supported and will ever support its f**king depressing seeing results like this

| As a born and bred football fan It was my first doncaster and rugby league match last weekend. I took my young lad as I want my kids to "support" their local teams regardless of the sport and even more importantly I think the team needs my/our support.
I have read from the local press of the ongoings at the club for a few seasons now and wanted to show my support for the new regime, so decided that where possible we will get to their home matches this season.
Even from my limited knowledge of the sport and the club I think i was aware that this would be a long season for the team and club generally. What I witnessed on Saturday proved my thinking was correct.
I am sure the behind the scenes team as well as the players on the field team are hurting and embarrassed this week, I would also guess that they would be little frustrated at some of the comments on this forum.
However disappointing the results so far and for the rest of this season get, I think some on this forum should take into account that in most ways this is a new club and new team, there will be limited cash available and the club will need the hard core fans to stay behind the team.
If I was Mr Hall and I read this forumIwould be feeling a little bit disallussioned with this thread and some of the down right negative posts after 2 competative games. Supporting your team is always more important than winning, how is the club going to attract more people to follow the team if its own supporters trust people and forum administrators are going to talk it down and rubbish peoples efforts at every opportunity. Only 1 other poster on this particular thread has posted anything resembling a positive comment.
I will be there again this weekend with my kid and will cheer the team on and hope to see an improved performance or maybe even a win : ) but if not then at least we will enjoy the fact that at least there is a local RL club that I can go and watch.

| An interesting post.
Comments about the 'supporters trust' and 'forum admins' whilst portraying yourself as a 'newcomer' and with 'limited knowledge'.
I won't take the bait ... I will however be in town tomorrow promoting the Club I have supported for as long as I care to remember.
Come and introduce yourself, I look forward to an interesting discussion. I'll also explain which [sizeFIVE[/size 'competative' fixtures the Club has had this season.
Gary.

| Didnt realise I had laid any bait Gary.
The 2 games I mentioned were the League and Challenge Cup matches, I didnt realise the Northern Rail matches were anything other than the RL version of the Johnstone Paints trophy.
Yes I am a newcomer and I have very little knowledge of rugby league, ive been to 3 RL matches in total so I'm not sure what point your "snide" remarks are meant to mean.
I got the supporters trust info and admin info from reading through the various threads and only commented on them becauseofthe negative nature of the posts, regardless of how bad things are / get surely it is folk like you that need to be leading by example in trying to keep the die hard fans heads up when things are not going well, i havent seen a lot of it since ive been coming on this forum. Well done for promoting the club in town etc the club could do with more like you.
Im not shy,if you bump into me tomorrow say hello, i'll be with my 6 year old son.

Just to let you know that Mr Hall or Carl as he is known to fans does come on this site and does read the forum, but i must say for someone very new to the game/club you seem to have a lot of knowledge re: the supporters trust and moderators and to come on here without knowing any of them and be critical of there comments just because they are not positive.

l'm not falling out with you (or anyone for that matter) but after years and years of following the Dons and seeing countless more defeats than wins (many of which I could freely accept because we were perhaps beaten fair and square by a side I expected to be better than us), last weeks game was such a low point.
If you read the various threads, I am far from being alone in my comments. Some have gone further than me, some have responded to you over your comments.
What I will say is, just because I am involved with the Supporters Trust or a Moderator on here, does not make me immune from feeling pain over performances like last weeks and to be fair does not restrict me from having an opinion.
You may feel that you have not seen any positive stuff on here recently, but that is probably what happens when the supporters are unhappy with performances - this is after all a fans site.
I can assure you that over the years there has been plenty of positive debate on here and I'm sure there will be again.
Unfortunately, the Club has lost a lot of support in recent years and once they have gone it's difficult getting them back. It's equally important to try and attract new supporters but we will continue to try as we have done this morning.
I truly hope that should you continue to watch the Dons you will get to see better performances in the coming weeks - in fact I'm hoping for much better tomorrow.
Finally, I pleased that your 6-year-old son is attending games with you. If we are to have any sort of positive future we need to get the youngsters in.

| I've purposefully not posted anything regarding the load of rubbish we witnessed last Saturday, however, this is my take on it. Firstly i expected us to lose, not by much but i thought that Siddal would be a better unit. What i didn't expect was the manner in which we lost. There appeared to be a distinct lack of pride in playing for the Dons, the best player by far was Liam Brown, although i thought Howlett and Keswick put alot of effort in. I like everyone elso aren't bothered so much by the lack of performance but by the lack of passion. We are going to be out skilled by alot of teams this year but we should never be out passioned (is that really a word!!!!). I was one who was so annoyed by last weeks performance that i seriously considered not coming tomorrow, i have decided to stick with it but i do expect to see a totally different performance. If the team can't motivate themselves after that absolute load of tripe they plated up last week then they shouldn't be playing semi-pro sports, come to think of it they shouldn't be playing any sport.
On the subject of Tony Miller i believe he also has to have a long hard lok at himself. The buck for that performance stops with him, he is the coach. We started off the season playing some half decent stuff, plenty of off loads and dummy runners where the hell has all that gone. Are we really expected to believe that if we haven't got the players who are injured playing then last week is the best we can do? If we don't see a vast improvement then i do believe that Tony has to consider standing aside, presuming we can get some massacist to take up the reins.
Anyway, heres looking forward to a better performance tomorrow.
