| Quote: Wanderer "Wonderful performance from all concerned at the Club. On the pitch superb from 1 to 17. Just a fantastic evening!
Another great game and a big thanks to every player they really stuck at it and Workington were out on their feet by the end. The stayaways are missing some great entertainment.

| I have bought the programmes for every home game this year except the last few.
I just got fed up with them even though I just wanted to give the club the £2 every time.
There are no squad numbers included against the players, and how hard is that to do?
We know who the players are by now of course, but say you were a newbie and came to one of the big recent games and bought a programme, you would have nothing to refer to during a game to help you identify players. You'd feel even more of a stranger and it helps to feel part of something and not left in the dark.
Jemmo's article is the best article in there simply because he puts some extra effort in and it's interesting ... unlike the succession of ''We would like to welcome team X and their directors, supporters etc.....'', which is quite frankly boring.
Page fillers.
Second in interest is Rebecca Smith.
We had squad numbers in last year and some stats.
There is room for big improvement in the programmes.

| Waterman plucking the ball out of the air at arms length at least twice when we were under the cosh in the second half really impressed me last night.
Marvellous!

| Am gutted to have missed it. How was I to know that we would be playing on Thursday night?
Sigh, unfortunately prior engagement had to take precedence. Hope a dvd is produced, as I would snap one up.
Was well surprised to see that we only conceded six. Was Thackray playing? Can't have made much impact as no-one has mentioned him. We really should be 100% at home now until the end of the season. Well done, Tony Miller. I wasn't at all sure when he was re-appointed but he has proved me totally wrong and I am delighted to admit it.
Pity that promotion will almost certainly be confirmed away from the Keepmoat, although it would be nice to confirm it at Whitehaven. Trouble is I'm in Cheshire on that day.Grrr!

And Jemmo ... missed you in the progamme! I always look forward to reading your articles. The club should also include the stats from our forum stats man in the programme too. It can't be easy for the Dons to put interesting programmes together but with the help and contributions of others, there's scope for improvements to be made.
'"
I'll put the sheets online tonight that were distributed in the press box last night (a few of the guys in the stand saw them), and I'll probably knock one up for the North Wales game as well.
Its something I've enjoyed (even if it has been a bit difficult at times), and hope I can carry it on next year.

Yes, he played and if given time and space he still has the ability to hurt defences but in truth we frustrated him for long periods.

theres only one real rugby league team in cumbria namely whitehaven rugby football club: |
|
| well played last night thought your full back and your prop number 8 was immense, town just couldnt cope with the first half onslaught.strange really considering they have a team full of players who by all accounts are all more than capable of playing in super league. looking forward to your visit up at the rec 5th aug should be a cracker.

Reading everything that he put on Facebook and Twitter about being nervy, I think he did really well. He pulled off a couple of outstanding takes in the second half.

| Last nights was for me without a doubt the best all round team performance by a Dons team since we moved to the Keepmoat.

Yes it was very good.
Incidentally, what was notable to me though was that although Waterman was brilliant at fullback we missed his power at left centre. Robinson and Cooke scored in his normal scoring area and I think he would have had a field day.
Still it was the right choice.
The cutting edge has gone without Hodson and Waterman down the left. We will have to graft out our tries and victories if Waterman stays at fullback.

| Maybe TM played Waterman at full back because we were against a strong side, and you would probably expect the same at Whitehaven, after that he may move back to centre against sides that we can maybe expect to score some points against, I don't think he will finish the season as a full back, but then again I didn't think he would be at full back in the first place, and we all know how that went.

I will second that. The pleasure that was taken from that performance will last a long time. Have to say that the decision taken by the Chief Exec and the Coach to get Cooky to the Keepmoat was priceless. The bloke was everywhere and If he missed I tackle I didn't witness it. His leadership is exactly what has been missing in previous seasons and watching him organize out on the park is a joy to watch.
