And another thing about Sunday.
We lost the ball on about 4 or 5 occasions just taking it in on basic drives.
Now I know there is a lot of ball targeting nowadays, but I thought that was slack.
Apart from that and a tendency to want to fight and get banned, everything, apart from the defence issue, was just great.

It all went slightly pear-shaped discipline-wise but I suspect there was some needle in the tackle. I think the Waterman incident may have been as a consequence of his ragging one of the Ornits with a throw . I seem to recall we got the penalty when Waterman had been throwing punches anyway, so it must have been as retaliation. I didn't see the ref signal on-report, but it was at the other end of the ground from me so....

As regards the ref, he should have yellow-carded players earlier to defuse the situation before it got out of hand. That
was the way I saw it.

A lot of the tackles from my point of view were aimed high, whether this was a deliberate ploy, or not, I don't know.

They came out in the second half to rattle us and it worked, up to a point, things got niggly and some rose to it. They shouldn't have done, but thats easier said than done, i was only watching and not on the recieving end

Waterman was throwing punches because a certain Mr crook. Was trying to remove one of his eyes without any form of anesthetic whilst in the tackle.alledgedly. Causing much disgruntlement to Mr Waterman

I could tell something Paul Crook had done had rattled the lads, but didn't realise that it was that.

The same allegation was made about Rochdale when Oldham beat them. They tried the rough house stuff. We don't need that garbage anymore we have too much talent IMO.

We've got talent, then the 'enforcers' so to speak. Our players won't resort to that though.

I said it in a very early post on this thread before the game that they would try the physical stuff. They did exactly the same last week and they also did it in previous seasons.When the game is slipping from their grasp they resort to the cheap stuff.Pathetic.

I normally dont mind Hornets but im getting to dislike them with the recent tactics theyve shown.

I know everyone has been jumping on the left side defence but Hornets targeted that in the second half and they also had extra men down that side a couple of times.When we got to grips with them after that mad 9 minutes we were ok. The big test is a week on Sunday at Worky and I cant wait!!!

sadly i wont make worky game as the wife says i got to go to corfu for a week but my lad will keep me up to date with the scores,
