Quote: originaldragon "It was very interesting that thhe overwhelming MOM on the Supporters coach was Stu Sanderson.....'"

As I once said .... he's got passion running through him like a stick of rock.
Exactly what is needed in a Dons player.

Players should be selected on merit (that means form and achievement) and no other reason.
If dual reg players don't perform they should be dropped.

It could be worse, we could be HKR.
That's when you know that anything can
happen in rugby and nothing is easy.
How they blued that is beyond me Giving away silly penalties didn't help, but your right , quite how they lost that is amazing. Shocking defence!

Shame about a small minority of Leigh fans when Dennis had the ball near the end of the game singing "the ace of spades" this was reported to a steward but because our bus was leaving straight after the game we did not have time to make a statement.
I had to laugh when leaving the ground, one of the Leigh fans said to a Donny fan "whats it like to play in a stadium" i take it the idiot has never been to the Keepmoat.

Played well first half, dont ask about the second half. Hopefully we will learn from yesterday's game and bounce back at Hunslet.

Personally I would have Cooke at SO and Edwards as LF...Grant is creative, runs well and tackles better than anyone in terms of technique and effort. Rotate Kyle and Mike as Hookers.
IMO.

What about scrumhalf Fawcett or Goulding.

There's no doubting gouldings ability, but he could be gone at a moments notice, fawcett did well last season, no reason this should be different .

I agree with Charlie, for once! When you can field a settled team, and get up to speed with Championship fitness and pace, there's no reason why you can't trouble many teams in this league- probably including us, when we visit the Keepmoat!

They need to get out more!

Another Rowley quote, this time from the local newspaper, previewing the gameUsually home games are seen as an advantage but the Leigh boss is not so sure this week.

“They play on a similar pitch and have fantastic facilities, so it’s going to be a pitch that they enjoy playing on when they visit us,” he said.[/i

It would seem that he has been allowed out! icon_wink.gif

I still think the "three half back" set up can be made to work. Other clubs operate it with the 9 playing a half backs role.

I don;t think the problem is what number is on whose backs (forgetting squad number for a minute) but who can play with who. For some reason Cooke hasn't been playing as well this year as last, it may be still recovering from a bad injury, or that he hasn't been given as much space, or a number of reasons. If he had been I don;t think this would be a point for discussion.

However if we were to only start 2 of the 3 regular halves I would go with Cooke and Fawcett as I think Craig has shown more than Goulding so far this season from the games I have seen.
