Yes, I got there.
Goodness knows how we won.
Swinton must be gutted, since taken over the whole game, they were much the better side.
Swinton were camped in our half in the second half and made our attack look pathetic.
I was particularly annoyed by our kicking and our middle of the field tackling.
We chose to kick the ball to the fastest man on the park .... WHY?
We failed to find touch from a penalty ... an almost criminal thing to do ... and generally put ourselves under pressure. This was typified by Fawcett handing the ball to Nanyn for no good reason at the start of a set of six.
One of the worst performances for a long time.
Good job they stole it at the death because I could see a hundred dropping of the attendance.
Having said all that, it was worth it for the finale.
I ain't hooped and hollered so much in a long time.
Everyone went bananas.
Except of course the poor old Swinton lads.

| I wont be hanging my head in shame fella...
I for one went mad at Craig and more so Matt for stupidly getting involved - swings and roundabouts.
Craig will be as annoyed with himself as much as anybody - and yes we can turn as can all fans, In the first half a few of your followers were having a pop at their own even claiming they were being laughed at....not to mention berating the 2 young ball boys....
Craig gifted possession twice on the first set one that subsequently lead to a try, once under the sticks, managed to kick backwards under no pressure so not by any means a MOM performance as per League Express, especially when Butts our full back ran his blood to water - but as it has been said that's RL....
I think it was a game of 2 halves and in honesty a draw was the least you deserved and cannot see you been in bottom 2.

| Agree with now then.
It wasnt as bad as what Marshy says I dont think but it was understandable a few would have moaned a bit when Craig coughed possesion up on the first tackle given the circumstances chasing the game.
But then he had the legs to support the great work from Dennis and go over for the matchwinner.Well done Craig!
Ill be honest , I never thought it was in doubt. Even when we were 9 behind with 10 to go I still felt we would come back and win it.
Great scenes at the end and endings like that are all the more sweeter when oppositions fans are shouting over and taking the p15s when they think the games in the bag. (all gone quiet over there chant) Reminded me of Dewsbury away 6 or 7 years ago.
Played ok in the first half but we went to pieces in the second.I couldnt understand why when we were chasing the game the last few sets we had anyone kicking on the last tackle. I though Cookey would have controlled it there but maybe he was injured and couldnt kick.
Never say die attitude from the lads though and there will be a few teams who wont want to face us in the playoffs.

| I'll back Karlos up on that one, when we went 9 points down and we were getting the smug goading raining down on us; Karlos spun round and said "Don't worry, we're gonna nick this at the end".
Nostrakarlos from now on

| I felt sorry for the Swinton players. They really put in a good shift in the second half.
Credit to our lads for keeping on going.
If Swinton do go down, the last few minutes of this game will really come back to haunt them. I'd guess they'll be safe though.
They're one point behind Hunslet. Hunslet have got to play Sheffield away and Fev at home.
Swinton have got Barrow at home and Whitehaven away. A win in either of those games should probably see them safe.
Sunday might not have been a classic from a skills point of view, but it was certainly exciting to watch!

| Maybe Cookey wasn't injured and just didn't play overly well? Sure even he has off days.. I will admit I was critical of Craig as I was anyone else that gave the ball away stupidly or that gave away silly penalties but they stuck together as a team and got a win that didn't look like we were going to get.

Totally agree, won't be hanging mine in shame either. Definitely game of two halves with Dons winning first half, Swinton the second.
As for what the Dons got up to regarding the punching incident well blatant time wasting, interfering'obstructing at PTB, fair few knock ons and losing the ball in the tackle but ref giving decision Swinton way...oh and Nanyn being a bit leary with the elbow.......but as stated that's RL and we've just gotta accept the decisions. So I'll gladly take the win thanks. Hope Swinton do well in their last few games and good luck, hopefully see ya next season.

| seeing that on the replay just reaffirms how bad some of that second half defense was. Hopefully do better against Dewsbury (ideally with Liam Kay back from Wakey).

| That try by Swinton in the first half when we had the guy held up for twice as long as 'held!' is usually called was a piece of joke defending, as they let him twist and drop over the live.
Very poor!

We pretty much pushed him over! There were a couple of tries conceded there that were very unlike us

| I'm not new around here. I'm reincarnated from formerlyseuseuwho.
My take on it is we looked dead and buried at 9 points down. Body language was awful, particularly when Cookey failed to find touch with his penalty and Craig Fawcett's sixth tackle kicking was horrendous.
Particularly pleasing was seeing two players combine for the match-winning try who had had anonymous games until then, despite Craig's two tries.
I thought Butts was our man of the match. He dealt with lots of high balls excellently ( which has been our Achilles heel in other games ) and generally ran the ball out well.
As for was it or wasn't it a forward pass? Definitely not, although Kevin Penny's pass to the fullback looked suspiciously forward and does even more so on the video, in my opinion.
Great finish to the game, an undeserved win but gratefully received. Rest of the performance was pretty forgettable in all honesty.
