| It's a pity we didn't score more points when we had the majority of the field position in the first half.
In the second half, the Featherstone forwards got on top more. Rankin kicked very well for us in the first half. Paul Sykes kicked well for Fev in the second half.
Make no mistake this is a tough competitive league with a much higher standard than last season. Without the help of the Hull guys, I do fear for where we'd finish if relying on our own resources.
Everyone tried hard and gave their best. Good effort lads.
I hope that the paper work was done properly with regards to us having five players from Hull. Technically we can only have four DR players. The other must be a loan player.

| Well now the Eagles have played at the Keepmoat we should start to see some investment in the squad rather than relying on DR and Youth....that's of course if any of the money is coming directly to the Dons or is it going to Club Doncaster......the coming weeks will tell..on the results thus far I do worry we are going to struggle with the current squad

| I don't think very much was announced during the game at all!
We were left guessing the Dons try scorer.
Pizza poor.
I think we need a board meeting to decide where we are actually going .... amateurish!

Stuart Howarth has been registered 'on loan'.

| We played well and were the best side offensively.
We had a fantastic hit that knocked the ball out penalised .
What for I'll never know, and they scored the winning try from it
We've played 2 top sides and competed and probably should have won.
Don't agree SO I watched sheff first half and London aren't better than us at the minute
They should be more worried than us.

| They did announce it as cowling after the missed conversion as a matter of fact.

We were the better side offensively?
I'd love to know the territory stats.
It looked to me about 70/30 to them, so I don't know what you're on about ... with respect.
And as for London ... they beat us last week and have two points and we have ...ermmm ... zilch!
All that matters in games in this league is who wins!

| I thought defensively, we were good, in attack, seemed to be lacking a spark. Encouraging though, with a bit more luck could have won. Didn't think Fev looked a top side to be honest, they defended well, but we could have tested them a bit more.

| cowling was announced as our try scorer just after the missed conversion, was loud and clear.
I think we were slightly better than Fev today, 2 evenly matched teams, Paul Cooke the best player on the pitch both offensively and in defence, he made some great tackles and his positioning was excellent. If Rankin had taken Cookes offload after he made a break then we would have won and I agree that is what counts. I am confident we will be fine this season although dual reg will play a key role in how high up the table we finish.
In my opinion Liam Welham was unlucky not to play today he did enough last week to earn a place, I guess Paul as to play the hull lads or risk not getting any and that is the downside to the system where the parent club holds a lot of influence, with Waller, Kesik and Welham to fill in we ain't as bad as people make out.
I believe this season is one of consolidation and next season we will push on and go for the top four.

Copped a hiding today though. Their top 4 chances will be severely tested on the road.
