| Sorry guys and gals, i forgot to upload the teams on saturday, seems that sums up the day, as the players also forgot to turn up.
Kept a low profile at work today (work in leeds), and there are two Siddal fans, didnt see them which surprised me, thought theyd have been straight over this morning. prob got day off to recover!

Rugby League : Alive and Handling: |
|
| commiserations guys - although well done to the non-league guys from Siddal.
However, please don't give up. In answer to your question -
Does doncaster want rugby league?
- well, not many of us really thought Wrexham wanted it, yet there are 1 or 2 signs we may be proved wrong. There isn't a lot that doncaster is known for being successful at (sorry), so i think you'll find if the team can somehow be turned round, then yes, the town will want Rugby League, particularly in a stadium like yours.
Good luck.

| I am one of the stay aways this year and last, only saw a handfull of games last year and wasn't massively impressed with what I saw and the direction the club headed. This year with the troubled off season I have felt less and less inclined to go, the current results and the restricted off season recruitment has seen me in a position of only paying a passing interest to even the scores.
I think Sunday has to be the darkest day for the Dons within in my tenure as a supporter (started 1986). I was there when we lost to Halifax and they were a professional club of the same level as us, Siddal are technically 2 tiers below us in the RL pyramid and clearly are a well coached and well drilled side. I would like to congratulate them on an excellent result for amateur rugby. I think the failure to score is the most damming part of the result.
We have lost to a amatuer side in the past - Featherstone Lions in 1997/8 but it was in no way as damming a result as this.
We seem to be in freefall on the pitch now and its approaching the anniversary of our last victory. The comments from people I read seem to lean towards the fact we are playing one out barge rugby, well all I can say to that its that the coach wasnt known for his passing ability during his playing days, infact I think I fainted when I saw him pass once.
We missed out on getting a good coach on board last year in Karl Harrison, who as really turned around Batley again with limited resources, we need to fine someone similar who can work the same magic with us and who has good contacts in both the professional and amateur game so we can move on Saturdays result. We need someone who is used to working with small amounts of funds and getting the best from what he has, these coaches do exist we've had one before....Tony Fisher and Ian Brook crafted a very good side based on a very low budget and they always played with some fire in their bellies. Thats the kind of coach we need at the moment not a "clipboard tactician".
As an outsider to the club at the moment I hear nothing from the club on how its going to address what can only be seen as one of the most embarrassing results in the clubs troubled history.

| Staying away will only do more harm than good. We are in effect starting from zero this season. I get the impression that many people are expecting too much too soon. Now is the time to get behind the club.

| I think a more sensible admission price for all bands (Kids, Adults and Seniors) would help get people back especially as we as supporters would be paying to watching substandard rugby.
Until I can see some tangible improvement my money is staying firmly where it is.

| I take your point but what can we do ?
It is a chicken and egg situation. Less fans equals less money equals a poorer team.
I'm not exactly happy with how things are but what can you do ? It's either stick with it and back the club or no club at all !
I hope we pull through this sticky patch but i would ask all the stay aways to reconsider.

| The vast majority of Dons fans will have gone into this season
glad they still have a team to support, knowing that this season
was going to be an long hard uphill struggle and the majority
of us realistically expected to lose a good deal more games than we would win.
We hoped/still do--- that the club will survive within its means and build for the future.
To be brutally honest though I’d be very surprised if anyone expected us
to be not only soundly beat by an amateur side but nilled in the process.
True Siddal looked a decent side brimming with confidence but they looked
as though they wanted it far more than us and that’s not right.
We looked like a team who started the game believing they had already lost.
It’s hard enough to get people in Doncaster to attend games in the first place.
Without giving them valid reasons not to attend.
I for one hope/expect to watch a Dons team giving their all this coming Sunday.

| Fact of the mater is though after 23 games without a win, folk can only take so much, if this run continues much longer people will want to see change in the management.

It's somewhat ironic that I was amongst those to make the point recently that just because you lose doesn't mean you didn't have a man of the match (in your opinion). However, I couldn't possibly vote for anyone from Saturday's debacle.

Easy, Siddal's scrum half.
What is concerning me at this moment in time is not a word from the Club Management. Looks like the lack of leadership on the field runs through quite deep.

| While I don;t want to influence any voting, for me Liam brown was head and shoulders above any Dons player on the pitch and deserved my vote

I also think Liam Brown never stopped.
