Two very average sides on display this afternoon, neither of which can expect to be anywhere near the promotion places and we still managed to be second best.

lets look at the facts, last year we finished fourth in a league of six, (decent teams) then got outclassed and embarassed in the play offs. This year we have got 6 points from 5 games, we have scraped wins against teams we should have beat comfortabley . we got humiliated last week on live tv. we lost today against a team we were expecting to beat. Look at our squad and we have some good players who are playing very poorly. we have a couple of class players playing poorly. Our style of rugby is dire and predictable, Put all this together and it simply equals a possible good team playing badly under a crap coach. the next home game will see the last few remaining fans stay away only the true diehards will be there, not sure which category I will be in.

It's time for GT to go, nothing personal, but it's clear the players are not playing for him, I have heard that he's lost the respect of most of the squad.
I will attend the Leeds game has I've promised to take others, however I doubt I will attend until a change of coach is made, again nothing personal to Gary who I'm sure is a decent man, I hope he realises this and walks.

I don't think anyone is blaming carl for what we've become in fact I like the guy and hope he's here for a long time but what I can't accept is blatant blind loyalty, anyone with a set of eyes can see were in a mess, we have zero discipline, were so unbalanced it's untrue, and the passion seems at rock bottom it's pretty grim to watch. We have made signings that are either not fully committed or are made from biscuit that's already been dunked! Add to that we have a coach with the charisma of a traffic cone. Today was a chance to show that last week was a blip and that we're better than we looked in the Hunslet game. We've blobbed again and the signs aren't good.

It's becoming harder by the week to think we're capable of challenging Barrow at the top. Unless things take a turn for the better we're probably going to have a fight on our hands to stay in the top eight, never mind make the top four.

This is the second squad GT has put together. It looks like the second time we're short of the required quality to realistically challenge for promotion. Is GT's main weakness his inability to bring in the right players?

Is GT only able to bring in the players his budget will allow him to bring in? We'll never know the answer to this but I think it's a relevant question bearing in mind how Paul Cooke had a squad that wasn't up to the job in the season we got relegated. Did he have a budget that gave him a fighting chance of improving on our 4th place in the previous season?

Only the people responsible know the answers. I suspect we'll never get to know the truth. Either way, serious lessons need to learned because this club is going backwards at a fair rate of knots.
