I seem to remember something on these lines having been reported. Can't be sure though.
If the Dons and the Rovers are going to be working closer together, and sharing office work, as I also believe was reported, I can't see how we could realistically move away from the Keepmoat.
As I mentioned earlier, there seem to be more cons than pros to moving homes ... this being one of them.

| London Broncos in all their different guises have played at various locations in the London area since there formation in 1980
Fulham.Crystal Palace.Chiswick,Barnet.Charlton(Twice)Brentford & Harlequins plus a few one off games at other football grounds.
They still cant attract a decent crowd.

| If it is not possible for immediate post match reaction then how about on the end of the highlights package? Also would it help to have commentary on the highlights? I know it's more expense and time but it would put names to faces and help to create Heros ect as discussed , for what it's worth imo castle seems to be a good option .

| It'd be a good idea to have commentaries on highlights. It would make it seem more professional too.
The idea of interviews with players on the pitch straight after the game is a no cost way of bringing all the match day fans and players together immediately.
Players sharing their emotions with the fans in this way will make everyone feel closer together. Even after a defeat, if the supporters can see how much losing means to the players, it's got to help to get the fans down next time, when they may otherwise think the players don't care, and not come back.
At the moment, I'm hoping the last play of the game is near to us, otherwise most of the fans have gone by the time the players reach us, and it's embarrassing as a fan to see so few supporters left. It can't do much for the players either.
This is a no cost way of doing something positive. Most initiatives cost money but this one would cost nothing.

As the guy who knocks up the highlights at the moment, the lad who did the commentaries last year is currently in Australia, but its something I've thought about getting someone to do..

| Same reason as some fans didn't want to go to Stainforth, Belle Vue & the Keepmoat , its not Tattersfield .

Paul you are way off the mark if you think that.

| I think what Paul is saying is, there will always be an excuse from some people. I personally would prefer not to watch the Dons there, but not enough to actually stop watching them...others may feel more strongly

| As far as i can see other than the Keepmoat it is the only other option in Donny. I've been there a few times and it's a good venue to watch rugby. If anyone out there hasn't been to watch the Dons since they left Tattersield then i can hardly think they could be classed as a fan anymore. I just think there would be such a better atmosphere in a smaller ground and help to make games more of an event and therefore boost crowds.

| Been once to castle park and must admit i found it to be a decent ground, as Rupert bear said the food was good , and atmosphere was good. But as said in a previous post as the Dons are contracted to the keepmoat i would think it's a non starter anyway.

| Donny vs Barrow last season was between two out of the top three sides.
This year between two of the bottom sides ... Nuff said.
Whitehaven a poor fourth last season have done a better job ... won eleven.
People aren't that interested in also rans.
Not trying to be cruel, but apart from a couple of great results recently we started poorly losing umpteen on the trot ... damage done.
